The Rock Workshop
About the Program
Founded in 2014, the Rock Workshop is a transformative band program that places students in rock bands and gets them on the stage. Experienced instructors pay close attention to each student’s musical journey, designing a class that works well for the entire group. Bands rehearse weekly and perform every 3 months. Over time, each band grows stronger as a unit and builds a larger, more diverse repertoire. Students develop skills in rhythm, ear training, improvisation, team work, leadership, and performance.
Perform at a wide variety of events and venues including the Bankhead Theater, Livermore Wine Festival, Danville 4th of July Parade, Livermore Farmers’ Market, Main Street Brewery in Pleasanton, the First Street Alehouse in Livermore and many others.
Perform at Local Venues
We perform at local venues and events such the Bothwell Center for the Arts in Livermore, The First Street Alehouse, Livermore Wine Country Street Fest, Danville 4th of July Parade, The Sunset Soiree at the Bankhead, Livermore Farmer’s Market and beyond. Enjoy these videos and photos from some of our many events.

Next Generation
Next Generation was the first band formed in the Workshop. They stuck together for 5 years before heading off to college! The band recorded this EP just a few years into the program, eventually changing their name to Jupiter Days.
